Congrats on another great episode.

I remember my time with the UCSD P-System on my Apple II+ with an 80 column card. It was pretty nice although frustrating on a single drive system. Six disk swaps to compile that \"Hello, World\" program.

I remember a word processor for the Apple II that would use the HIRES graphic mode to show 70 columns of text on the screen. I found a reference to one over at the Apple History site but it didn\'t sound like the one I remembered.

I missed running businesses on 8 bits, but I do remember running DBase 3 on a PC to track inventory for a Apple and Kaypro dealer I worked for and later working with machines that replaced MAI Basic 4 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAI_Basic_Four ) Business BASIC ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_Basic ) machines with PC\'s running software that simulated those big expensive machines. We used to run 16-32 users on a 386 running a custom operating system that looked just like an MAI Basic Four machine.

MAI used to sell disk drives in two sizes. Strange thing was that they only bought one size and limited the space in the operating system. A few guys figured out how to make the change and would sell that change for 1/2 the price of the drive... Cute business if you can get away with it.

Sorry for all the links but I figured I\'d point people to research.
